Share Council Members
Fund Raising:
SHARE Council members serve as key IFAS volunteers who financially support UF/IFAS and encourage others to give. They also help create networking opportunities for IFAS development office staff members to make new contacts and identify, cultivate and solicit prospective donors and other sources of private support for IFAS. In addition, SHARE Council members assist with donor stewardship efforts.
SHARE Council members participate actively in both formal council and committee meetings, including the SHARE Council event and annual business meeting.
UF Advocacy and Support:
SHARE Council members assist the Senior IFAS Administration and Development Office staff with the development of strategies to network with individual College of Agricultural and Life Sciences alumni, IFAS friends and corporate entities about UF/IFAS private funding priorities and its needs.
Members also coordinate with IFAS Administration in support of IFAS’s legislative advocacy program on behalf of UF/IFAS. The SHARE Council Executive Committee accepts nominations for new council members and makes new member recommendations.
