The College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS) administers the degree programs of the University of Florida's Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS). With 22 undergraduate majors, more than 50 areas of specialization and 22 graduate majors, CALS is an educational leader in the areas of food, agriculture, natural resources and life sciences. If you would like to support CALS, please consider one of these impactful CALS Giving Opportunities:
The CALS Dean's Circle is reserved for donors contributing $500+ annually. Dean's Circle funds are used to achieve the college's highest priorities, such as encouraging innovative curricula, providing funding to attract premier graduate students, and providing faculty seed grants for teaching innovations and sustaining priority programs. Learn more about the CALS Dean's Circle here or contact Taylor Johnson at (321) 303-5821 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Make an impact on a student's life by becoming a CALS Graduation Guardian and sponsoring their college attendance. Through donating $5,000/year for either two or four years, these generous donors support one undergraduate CALS student, selected by the College, who would otherwise have to take out loans. About 40% of CALS students graduate with student loan debt, which in 2016-2017 was on average $18,389 per student.
CALS Graduation Guardians allow students to become workforce ready without the burden of debt, and bolster students who are struggling to make ends meet to finish their degrees. For more information, please contact Taylor Johnson at (321) 303-5821 or email@example.com.
The CALS Partnership Program is designed for companies and organizations who wish to collaborate with the college. Companies benefit from brand exposure to CALS students and alumni, as well as participation in career and internship events. Partnership Program gifts support student programs, innovative curricula and professional development opportunities for students as we prepare them to create solutions for our future.

Renovate a CALS classroom in need! Gifts of $50K or more leverage a matching gift from the UF Provost and provide needed upgrades like fresh paint, new technology and mobile seating and tables. These changes will promote collaborative learning and improve the student experience. Named signage will be displayed honoring the donor. For more information, please contact John Hooker at email@example.com or (352) 294-7868.
In 1941, CALS awarded its first doctoral degree. Today, more than 1,600 students are enrolled in CALS graduate programs. Through the '41 Fellows Initiative, CALS aims to secure at least one endowment for each of its graduate student programs. Endowments provide a source of funding in perpetuity, money which will be used to offer competitive funding packages to outstanding potential graduate students. The CALS Dean's office is providing tuition waivers to supplement any fellowship established through this initiative. A gift of $350K establishes a Master's level fellowship, and a gift of $500K establishes a Ph.D. fellowship. Gifts may be pledged over five years or included in an estate plan.
